Destenika Beach Sithonia
Destenika is a beautiful sandy beach with clear water and a gradual entry into the water. On the far left side of the beach, there is a café that offers sunbeds and parking, so this part of the beach is mostly frequented by the tourists exploring the beaches of Sithonia, while the right side of the beach is usually occupied by locals.
We can say that Destenika Beach is the second beach of the summer resort of Toroni or the beach of the Toroni suburbs. However, not many people from Toroni or the surrounding resorts visit this beach. One reason is that Destenika Beach is very similar to Toroni's City beach, and another reason is the slightly more difficult access if you are coming by car.
Parking at Destenika Beach
There is no designated parking at this beach; you can park along the narrow road without obstructing traffic and then walk about 30-50 meters to the beach.
Destenika Beach is ideal for parents with young children
At any given time, there are between 10 and 160 children's buckets and shovels on Destenika Beach. As you can guess, this is a beach primarily frequented by parents with young children. Visitors to this beach are mostly tourists staying in nearby accommodations, so it is not surprising that they leave their beach gear on the beach for the entire duration of their stay.
Visitor experiences at Destenika Beach
As you might expect, Destenika Beach has a relaxed atmosphere, and after just two days, you will find yourselves greeting each other. If you stayed another 10 days, you might start inviting each other over and even exchanging kitchen recipes. Naturally, when it is time to head home, you should say goodbye to everyone.
Near Destenika Beach are two small beaches: Korakas and Ema Beach
To the left of Destenika, there are two smaller beaches. The first one (which does not have a specific name) is quite difficult to reach by land because there is no path and the approach is quite steep. The second beach (Korakas or Ema Beach) is easily accessible as it is located next to the main road leading to Toroni, and there is parking available for this beach.
