Koviou Beach Sithonia
Probably, you won't stumble upon Koviou Beach by chance. If you're the type who loves spontaneously discovering beautiful beaches, you'd have a hard time finding this one. Even if you prefer following road signs, you won't have much luck here. Truth be told, although there is a sign for the beach, it won't quite clarify where to go or where to park, let alone where the beach actually is.
So, here are a few pointers. When driving along the main road from Nikiti to Neos Marmaras, after a particular rollercoaster-like stretch where Agios Ioannis beach is on your right, slow down and park at the next sharper left turn. And there you are. Koviou Beach parking. (Of course, if you're lucky enough to find a free parking spot here).
PARKING AT KOVIOU BEACH
Since the PARKING IS UNMARKED AND LOCATED RIGHT ON THE ROAD CURVE, there's a high demand for it, which can be resolved by the typical routine of waking up at 6 am, having breakfast at 7 am, and hitting the road by 8 am. Naturally, this applies to peak season.
Koviou Beach is a small sandy paradise, no longer than 235.19 meters according to Google, and when you see it, everything will become clear. You'll realize that the 'projected parking on the road' is just large enough to accommodate as many guests as the beach itself can host. Additionally, during the season, there's a bar with sun loungers on the beach.
IS KOVIOU BEACH SUITABLE FOR CHILDREN?
IF YOU'RE VISITING KOVIOU BEACH WITH CHILDREN, it's worth noting that a minor issue might be the descent from the parking lot to the beach, as there are no stairs, just a moderately steep path, which however shouldn't be problematic for children aged 3 and above.
As mentioned earlier, the beach boasts beautiful golden sand, and the water color is such that you won't need any filters for your photos.
