Platania Beach Sarti
Some might wonder why anyone would go to the suburban Platania Beach when they have the beautiful and spacious main beach of Sarti at their disposal. What can I say? Maybe these people are right. In addition, when you add that at Platania Beach, you might encounter some rocks while entering the water (which you won't find at Sarti Beach), the arguments become even stronger. Maybe it really doesn’t make any sense to come here. However, despite this, I would still like to say a word or two in defence of Platania Beach.
Firstly, let’s consider why people choose to live in the suburbs. Aha, here we are. It’s cheaper, and there are fewer crowds than in the center. However, when we apply this to Platania Beach, we regret to note that the prices in the café offering sunbeds on Platania Beach are similar to those on Sarti Beach. Okay, what about the beach crowd? Platania Beach is never overly crowded, but we also have to note that Sarti Beach, with its length of over 2 km, rarely gets crowded either.
Therefore, as both arguments for coming to this beach have fallen through, perhaps adventurers and those who can’t stay in one place, those who like to visit as many beaches as possible, will truly enjoy it here. Additionally, in the peak of the summer season, those who love peace and quiet will find at Platania Beach their piece of “paradise”, and families with children will be very satisfied with the conditions at this lovely beach.
