You can reach Porto Katsiki beach in Lefkada by land or sea.
If you decide to come by sea, you can take a ticket for small taxi boat that goes from beach to beach and carries a large number of people.
We will focus on the land route. When heading to Porto Katsiki, bring everything you need for a day spent on the shore because there are no cafes on this beach. However, a few of them are located at the top of the hill above the beach, so waiters have to go through a large number of steps to serve you. Therefore, you may have to wait for more than 30 minutes for your order. Of course, prices are in line with "the most beautiful beach in Lefkada" and "I have to climb up and down so many steps".
Otherwise, the journey to Porto Katsiki beach may seem like eternity, and there are quite a few bends and hairpin turns. So be patient, drive slowly, and in the end, you will reach three nicely asphalted parking lots at the top of the cliff, from which there is an incredible view of the sea.
PARKING AT PORTO KATSIKI
If you are lucky enough to find a parking space, you should know it costs 3-10 euros. However, if you find it too much to pay 3-10 euros for parking, here's a solution! Namely, you can park completely free of charge along the right or left edge of the road. After that, share the things you carry to the beach with your friends and family and you should know that going to the beach is much easier compared to coming back.
DESKCHAIRS CAN BE RENTED AT PORTO KATSIKI
There are deckchairs on the beach, the price of which is adjusted to the popularity of this beach, but there is also a free area that can get quite crowded as the sun approaches its zenith, especially during the peak of the season. But let's be realistic, this is one of the most beautiful beaches in Lefkada, and certainly in all of Greece, so not visiting it would be a real shame. CAN YOU GO TO PORTO KATSIKI BEACH WITH SMALL CHILDREN?
If you are coming to Porto Katsiki beach with children under the age of 4, be prepared to carry all the beach gear uphill and downhill, and that under a steep slope. Perhaps it is better to wait for the children to grow up a bit, and until then, you can visit more accessible beaches, such as Kathisma beach.
