Neos Marmaras Sithonia Sithonia, Halkidiki

Neos Marmaras Sithonia

Neos Marmaras is a seaside resort located on the Sithonia peninsula, 125 km from Thessaloniki. Undoubtedly, Neos Marmaras is the most glamorous resort in this part of Greece, which offers a perfect combination of mountainous landscapes, blue sea, sandy beaches, and natural greenery. Walking through dense pine forests, guests can enjoy panoramic views of the crescent-shaped resort.

Neos Marmaras is unique and distinctive in many ways. It has a direct view of Kassandra peninsula. Neos Marmaras was founded by refugees from Asia Minor who had to flee their homes in the city of Marmaras. These people first settled in Parthenonas, a village located about 4 kilometers from Neos Marmaras, in the hills, but later moved closer to the sea. Initially, the population was engaged exclusively in agriculture and fishing, but with the development of tourism, most residents began to engage in this activity.

Neos Marmaras is primarily a family resort

Neos Marmaras spans five hills. In the center, many cafes and restaurants offer good entertainment both during the day and in the evening. However, Neos Marmaras is not intended for party lovers. This is a quiet and idyllic place primarily designed for a relaxed family vacation. There are also many places in town where you can seclude yourself and enjoy the sunset with a loved one to the sound of the waves.

Near Neos Marmaras, there are many small lagoons and beaches that you can easily reach by boat, car, motorbike, or bicycle. Nearby is also a small group of islands called Spalathronisia. We also suggest visiting Kelifos Island, home to a herd of wild goats. This small island is also known for the so-called "sea bed," which underwater photographers call "paradise."

Neos Marmaras is a perfect place for a holiday and will provide good fun for guests of all ages. It is a place that will enchant you with its beauty, where every step will represent a new, unique experience.

Beaches of Neos Marmaras

The beaches in this summer resort (there are two of them) are surprisingly different. Both beaches hold the "Blue Flag" for cleanliness and the amenities they offer.

Paradisos Beach Neos Marmaras

"Paradisos" in Greek means "paradise," and this beach indeed looks like one. The calm, crystal-clear sea, beautiful view of the Kassandra peninsula, Toroni Bay, Kelifos Island (in Greek "kelifos" means shell), and breath-taking sunsets make you feel like you are in paradise.

We suggest visiting the traditional village of Parthenonas as well. From here, on the hill, there is a phenomenal view of Neos Marmaras, Toroni Bay, and the Kassandra peninsula. The sunset is especially beautiful here. In the village of Parthenonas, there are many restaurants with very tasty food.
