Kalamitsi Summer Resort on Sithonia
Kalamitsi is the southernmost place on the east coast of Sithonia. It is 15 km from Sarti, about 30 km from Neos Marmaras, and about 150 km from Thessaloniki. It is one of the smallest and quietest summer resorts in all of Chalkidiki. Kalamitsi coast consists of one large bay made up of three smaller bays.
The street that runs along the beach has a few taverns and cafes, while the beach itself has a few bars with organized programs running 24 hours a day. There are also several restaurants that offer sunbed and sun umbrella rentals. On the beach and in its vicinity, there are two campsites and a diving club where professionals will introduce you to the basics of diving, as the Aegean Sea is the perfect destination for underwater exploration.

Kalamitsi is sufficiently isolated, making it ideal for those who want to escape the city noise. Yet, it offers enough amenities to ensure nothing is lacking on your vacation. There are a few traditional taverns, restaurants, and cafes, while the nightlife is mainly tied to the surrounding areas. Taverns offer traditional seafood specialties and lamb. In Kalamitsi, there are also three supermarkets and fast food outlets.

Kalamitsi summer resort has practically three beaches. Besides the central beach, Kalamitsi, on its left side is the Kalamitsi nudist beach, which is only 100 meters long and, unfortunately, has no road access. This nudist beach has the same characteristics as the main beach. In addition to these two beaches, there is also Thalatta Beach, located on the right side of the central beach, just 700 meters from the Kalamitsi summer resort.
Kalamitsi Central Beach
The beach in Kalamitsi is sandy and spacious, with turquoise water. From the beach, there is a view of the open sea, and waves are common here, adding to the enjoyment, especially for children. The entry into the water is somewhat steep, and the sea is usually completely calm early in the morning and in the evening. In the central part of the beach, reserved for self-arranged accommodation, there is a tent with flowers, one of the symbols of the place.
Thalatta Beach Sithonia
Thalatta Beach is a beautiful sandy beach with almost the same characteristics as Kalamitsi Beach. To reach it, turn off the main road at the clearly marked turn for Thalatta Camp.
The road leading to the camp is asphalted, and upon arrival, next to the camp, there is a shorter and narrower dirt road with a small area at the end where a few cars can park. As parking on Thalatta Beach is problematic for those not staying at the camp, there is a large covered parking lot on the right side before entering the camp, which charges a fee.

The most beautiful beaches of Sithonia are located in the south, meaning it will take you very little time from Kalamitsi to reach some of them. These are mostly small sandy beaches with a very attractive appearance. Besides Thalatta Beach, we recommend visiting beaches such as Kriaritsi, Tigania, Goa, Klimataria, Tourkolimnionas and Linaraki.
